What is 'Mindfulness'?

'Being Mindful: is not a new concept - although the idea of re-focusing and Becoming more Mindful will often be a new approach for many, especially after a year of change that has involved adapting to something new. Making time for yourself is important no matter what you hope to achieve this year - and, taking time to just sit and think is a link of luxury that should be available, and achievable, by everyone. Being Mindful: isn't just about being aware of the present (or enjoying life in its present moment), it also involves being connective; active; receptive and transitive (giving to another) - helping to create and maintain a more balanced approach to life. Being Mindful: is achievable, take steps to begin to find ways to enjoy a little bit more of life. BE Inspired!' Jacqueline Melbourne-Milner. Life & Language Coaching, from the UK

Motivational Monday - the first day of the working week ... Life & Language Coaching - Workshop: Monday 2nd August 2021 Jacqueline Melbourne-Milner It's 'Motivational' Monday - and, today I am grateful for the 'new understandings of virtual reality, which helps to maintain this reality for real...' When looking at today's 'Colour-In': What do you see, What do you feel? Can you see, and can you feel [or, even just imagine], the anticipation of 'even better days' - and, even more 'sunshine ahead'! ... - and, are you able to 'remotely experience' the level of 'Relaxation & Calmness': that taking the time to just 'sit and colour' can bring? Remember: your 'Colour-In' doesn't need to be fully completed in one 'sitting' - it, can be completed over a whole week [or more], and 'you can Colour-In with another too'. You can also 'return to the Colour-In', [picture template] whenever you have a 'spare moment'. One way to find the 'peace & quiet' in order to experience 'Relaxation & Calmness' is to just 'sit still' and 'reflect' - and, then 'breathe'. This can also be extended further: by, 'working on your Colour-In - whilst, you wait for your cuppa' [imagine: the picture template as 'a portable calm and tranquil space']. Today is another day ... whenever you need to feel a level of calmness, think of today and the image we are going to develop now. First: sit comfortably, in a cosy chair, and 'welcome the fresh-air in' - and, then try to 'zone out' any other distractions by focusing only on your 'inner-breathing' and 'external-breath'. Now: look at the 'Gratitude Picture' - and, without 'thinking' try to 'visualise' the colours you will use to 'Colour-In' the 'picture-template'. Then, look out of your window [or at your favourite view] and use this 'image' to help focus on your 'picture-colours'. Remember: you can also 'mix and match [primary and secondary] colours' depending upon your chosen 'colour technique' [and product], too. Now: focus on your 'Colour-In'. What colour will you begin with, what technique will you choose - and, which 'Colour-In' product will you use? Remember: 'you can colour between-the-lines and or outside of the template too!' A picture template: can be used in many ways - and, depending upon the individual, there will often be 'versions' in interpretation. For instance, the focus of today's 'Colour-In' highlights: warm weather, clear skies and a 'tall refreshing drink' - whilst, sitting 'and watching the world go by', too ... Remember: to take the time to breathe in and breath out, breathe in and breath out - and, then breathe in and then breath out - and, continue to breath steadily and remain calm. ... and, preferably: with another 'freshly-made-cuppa' ... Wishing you all a wonderful week! Jacqueline

The Sunday - before, 'Motivational Monday'

Sunday 15th October 2021 Life & Language Coaching Workshop: Ready: for 'Motivational Monday' - and, as it'll be the first day of the working week, I thought that I'd begin by contacting both 'old' and 'new' connections, so as to share 'moments of mindfulness' (and to check in on how you are), ready for the week ahead ... Sunday 15th August 2021 ‘Idiom’, ‘phrase’ or ‘saying’: ‘If you could see what ‘I’ see’ too. It’s Sunday - and, today I am grateful for the ‘far-reaching-connections’: each new ‘learner’ brings to the ‘virtual-classroom’, known as ‘everyday-life’. … and, as ‘I’ sit and ‘stare through the open window’ at the ‘neatly-trimmed, compact lawn’ still ‘glistening’ with ‘fresh, droplets of rain’ that ‘sprinkle-down’ from ‘hovering-branches’ which ‘delicately-balance on the breeze’ ahead. ‘If you could see what ‘I’ see’: you would see …’ The last of the ‘late-blooming’ flowers begins to ‘unravel’ ready for their ‘finale’: - before, then ‘hibernating’ through the months ahead. … and, the ‘squirrels’ scatter amongst the ‘rain-soaked’ leaves: leaving ‘acorn-husks’ in their path. I sit and watch the ‘unity’: of the garden, as the ‘squirrels’; ‘pigeon’; ‘hedgehog’ and small ‘birds’ quietly ‘peck at the ground’ ‘expertly’ allowing the ‘other’ to pass by and move on to the next area of the garden. In the words of: Genesis 1:24, NIV: ‘ … And God said: ‘Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind. ‘And it was so.’ With [forgiveness], peace and love. Amen.
